The Casa Hogar Program
“Casa Hogar La Esperanza Loreto” is a group foster care home in Loreto that is coordinated through the Sistema para Desarrollo Integral de la Familia or “DIF”—the Mexican government organization for family services. In 2018, after many of our members visited Casa Hogar and discovered the need for a variety of resources—from building improvements for the safety of children to school supplies and clothing, etc.—HBSCA has donated goods and materials and worked closely with Loreto leaders to support Casa Hogar. Working in conjunction with staff and volunteers in Loreto, we have identified projects that we can support fiscally to create a safe and vibrant home for these children.
